Web Automation Engineer

Mindstix is looking for a proficient Web Automation QA who is passionate about their work and committed to delivering exceptional quality by automating the Web and mWeb application end to end.
This role is more focused on web automation QA and requires proficiency in designing automated testing solutions across web-based applications. The candidate should possess expertise in web automation, and test automation frameworks, a deep understanding of testing methodologies, and hands-on experience in both frontend and backend testing.
The person may play a pivotal role in leading our QA teams to plan, design and maintain a top-quality application to bring digital transformation to our global enterprise and start-up customers.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute robust automated test scripts for web applications across different browsers.
- Leverage leading-edge tools and frameworks to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of test processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Conduct performance testing to ensure web applications meet performance benchmarks and user experience expectations.
- Create and maintain documentation for test cases, test scripts, and testing processes. Report defects and issues with clear and concise details.
- Aligning with Agile & DevOps methodologies and using tools like JMeter and frameworks like Rest Assured, Selenium Webdriver, WebdriverIO etc. to meet the industry standards for web automation.
Must Have
- Expertise in Test Automation: Experience in designing and implementing robust automated test scripts for complex web applications. Proficiency in programming languages like Java, and JS for writing automation test scripts.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional proficiency in both written and spoken English. Ability to collaborate effectively with international teams and stakeholders. Excellent communication skills to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Automation Tools: Strong proficiency in automation tools (e.g., XCTest, Jmeter, K6).
- Testing Methodologies: Strong understanding of testing methodologies, including both manual and automated approaches.
- Test Frameworks: Sound knowledge of Selenium Test Environment Setup (Maven Integration, Selenium WebDriver, Java, TestNG, Jenkins Integration etc.)
- Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and address complex technical issues. Proposing and implementing effective solutions for application development challenges.
Good to Have
- Knowledge of Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) for scalable and distributed testing.
- Security Testing Awareness: Awareness of security testing principles and tools for identifying vulnerabilities.
- Web understanding: Basic understanding of certain markup/scripting/programming languages, required for the automation (e.g. JSON, HTML/CSS, XML).
- CI/CD: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into the development process.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or allied streams.
- 2 to 5 years of hands-on industry experience in Quality Assurance as an Automation engineer.
- Knowledge of the Agile and DevOps approaches.
- Certifications are an added advantage
- Excellent reporting, time management, analytical & communication capabilities
